The first time I received a witness was when my husband and I were in the MTC heading out to Africa. I always knew Joseph Smith was the prophet of this dispensation to do a marvelous work for the Lord. I had never prayed and fasted over it though. So, I studied, prayed, and fasted to receive an undeniable witness. To keep the post short I'll just cut to the "punch line". During an assignment in a class I had to bear testimony of Joseph Smith. A wave of undeniable sweetness came over me just as I was to begin. That's when I received my big witness.
